GMC provides a coordinated, single-point-of-contact system to help quickly reestablish pre-disaster levels of functioning and balance in their lives. In that process, we utilize funding from state and local government entities as well as qualified private organizations.
Our recovery services are a necessary complement to those of government agencies. We are well experienced working within governmental structures and procedures. Our project managers offer extensive knowledge and expertise related to disaster recovery resources, client advocacy, assessment, and recovery planning.
For Each Client We :
- assess specific needs through client intake procedures;
- develop a goal-oriented plan outlining steps to recovery;
- organize and coordinate resources to match needs;
- carefully monitor recovery plan progress; and
- provide client advocacy, as needed.
GMC services populations who otherwise would not have access to or be aware of vital government and private organization services. We begin that process by disseminating information via digital and printed media to inform and educate target populations about life-saving and transforming opportunities that are available to them.
We tailor our client intake procedures and forms for each project, providing different options for the client intake process. Intake forms can be downloaded or emailed as PDF files or as electronic e-forms. For those without computer access, they can be sent by regular mail.
GMC case management begins with our obtaining all relevant information from the client in the form of assessments .We research local information and services, and make the needed referrals. Our case management specialists oversee crisis intervention and case care coordination.
We consistently establish open communication between all involved parties to establish a trusting, nurturing relationship with our clients.
