The State of Texas General Land Office (GLO) Homeowner Opportunity Program – Disaster Case Management Services

  • Project Term: 2011 to Present

HUD allocated $3.1 billion in funding to respond to the needs of Texans affected by Hurricanes Ike & Dolly. One of the programs developed from this funding is the Homeowner Opportunity Program or (HOP). HOP is a Disaster Recovery Housing Program. The program is projected to secure more than 10,000 applications for an estimated 4,000 homes received from the pool of eligible participants.

GMC is currently serving as the lead agency in providing system wide program design, case management and inspection services, along with curriculum development and training for the entire program.

Recovery for IKE Survivors Enterprise (RISE) Project

  • Project Term: 2009-2011

GMC Consultants, LLC was awarded a contract funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) through the Texas Health and Human Service Commission and monitored by Lutheran Social Services Disaster Response Services to provide disaster case management services for the Recovery for Ike Survivors Enterprise (RISE). GMC Consultants, LLC was one of the 10 partner agencies that had been offered this opportunity to work within the RISE project designed to provide support to more than 13,000 survivors of Hurricane IKE.

Port Arthur Housing Authority Disaster Housing Assistance Program (DHAP)-Ike

  • Project Term: 2009-2011

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) administered rental housing assistance for more than 45,000 eligible residents affected by Gulf Coast Hurricanes. GMC provided Case Management Services via the DHAP-Ike Program with the Port Arthur Housing Authority which included cases located within Jefferson and Orange Counties within Port Arthur, Texas.

Rosenberg Housing Authority DHAP-Ike

  • Project Term: 2009-2011

GMC was contracted to provide administrative, case management services and home inspection services for the Rosenberg Housing Authority DHAP-Ike. The Rosenberg Housing Authority covers Fort Bend County in the state of Texas.

Housing Relocation Service

  • Project Term: 2008, 2010

GMC assisted city governments and private companies in relocating subsidized housing complexes for renovation or total relocation purposes. GMC also designed the relocation plans and informed the residents of moving procedures. GMC was also responsible for conducting all closing procedures required within this project.

Workforce Investment Act

  • Project Term: 2009-2010

GMC Consultants, LLC was awarded the Regional Planner Assistant contract solicited through Workforce Solutions Brazos Valley in Bryan College Station, Texas. GMC hosted monthly events to participants throughout several counties. The Regional Planner Assistant for Workforce Solutions Brazos Valley was a project that was developed to provide the Workforce Investment Act Youth coordinating services and to assist the Executive Director of BVCOG in creating a 10 year strategic and an effective plan.
